No matter how many times it breaks, it can always be repaired.
Similar to the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, Mottainai encourages to see beauty in the flawed and imperfect. There is often the feeling of regret when something is wasted since, when an object breaks, it is immediately thrown away. But if the broken pieces were to be preserved, and reassembled to create new forms, the object can take on a new life with redefined meaning and purpose.
