8 x 8 x 14cm
The marriage of the rhythms of space and the rhythms of time, mark the beginning of Maness’ homage new series to cinema and its influence on our culture.
MCMLVI uses scene stills that represent each films’ unique color palettes. With clear-cut layers of color based on these palettes, the gradient is set to represent the fundamental concept of how moving images bathes audiences with the manipulation of light, creating a subversive atmosphere of emotions and individual reflections, unreachable to other art forms.
Blade Runner (Ridley Scott, 1982), Los Olvidados (Luis Buñuel, 1950) and Paris, Texas (Wim Wenders, 1984).
