Moving away from the conventional structures of language, Maness draws from the conversation between auditory imagery, identity, and narrative. His work revolves around a range of elements including rhythm, biodegradable materials, repurposed objects, and composition. Open to spontaneity and everyday circumstances, the artist's interest in exploring questions rather than conclusions allows the potential of multiple interpretations and meanings to expression.
